Cricketer-turned-expert Sanjay Manjrekar has offered a unique perspective on India skipper Shubman Gill's dismissal on Day four of the third Test against England. The 25-year-old walked into the crease to a hostile reception from England players. Ben Stokes & Co. were continuously giving Gill an earful and deployed aggressive tactics to unsettle the in-form batter.
The plan worked well for the hosts as the India skipper was dismissed for just six runs. However, before being out, the right-hand batter played six nervy shots in the nine balls that he faced before being out LBW to Carse.

"Gill suddenly looking tentative last evening had to do with the hostility he got at the crease from England."
Manjrekar also compared the current India skipper with predecessors MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli and asked the young batter to figure out what kind of person and leader he would like to be.

"Virat performed better, the angrier he got. Dhoni is the exact opposite. Gill must decide what gets best out of him as batter, calmness, or anger," Manjrekar tweeted.

For the unversed, the hosts were aggressive towards Shubman Gill owing to the India skipper rubbing Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett the wrong way. The GT star was spotted having an animated chat with the former after he was seen wasting time on the fag end of the Day three's play. The England opener pulled out two times during Bumrah's over and later was also seen calling the physio to address his finger.

Gill certainly did not like what he saw and went up to Crawley to get along with the game. Speaking about the India skipper, he had a rare off day as he was dismissed for two low scores in the Lord's Test after scoring three hundreds in the first two Tests.
