India's pace bowler Akash Deep brought some much-needed energy to the Oval crowd after he got rid of the dangerous-looking England opener Ben Duckett in the ongoing fifth Test. After the hosts raced to 50 in just seven overs, the visitors were desperate to break the partnership. Akash Deep provided a breakthrough by dismissing the southpaw on Day two of the Oval Test.
While the ball was not the best he bowled in the ongoing Test series, it was just about enough to send the in-form English opener back to the pavilion for 43 off 38 balls, who failed to connect a reverse scoop and missed the shot, as wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel caught the ball. However, rather than the wicket, what caught the attention of Oval fans and social media was his animated celebration.
The Indian pacer celebrated right on his face, and also had a few words to give back to Duckett, who threw his wicket away in trying to play one shot too many. Akash Deep's vital wicket at that moment in the game helped the visitors wrestle back some momentum heading into lunch break.

England in control as India fails to pick regular wickets
As has been the case throughout the ongoing five-match Test series, India yet again failed to seize momentum after dominating for major parts on Day one. On Day two, the visitors lost four wickets for just 24 runs to bundle out for just 224. Later, new ball bowlers, Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep, conceded more than five runs per over, completely giving the momentum to the hosts.
With England racing away to 150 for the loss of just three wickets, the visitors will need to pick wickets at regular intervals to be in the game; otherwise, they will end up losing the series. Up until now, the visitors have shown a great amount of character, grit, and determination in all four Tests that have been played. They will need oodles of that if they have to win this game from this challenging situation.
