Rajasthan High Court Denies Interim Bail Plea To RCB Pacer Yash Dayal Over Minor's Sexual Assault Case

The Rajasthan High Court has denied bail plea of RCB pacer Yash Dayal on Wednesday, August 6, who is now facing charges for allegations of raping a minor. The court has reportedly disagreed putting a stay order on his arrest and stopping the police from further investigating this case.

The decision on this case was announced by Justice Sudesh Bansal, who observed that since the victim was a minor when the incident took place, there will be no police protection provided to Dayal. The judge has further asked the city police to submit further findings of this case by August 22.

Reportedly, the RCB pacer, who hails from UP, was accused of sexual assault on the victim when she was only 17. The survivor's lawyer said that the incident happened while she was 17 while also saying that the pacer called the call to a hotel in Sitapura during IPL 2025 and raped her again.

Yash Dayal's Lawyer Pleads His Case

Two years later, the victim is 19, and her case was registered at the Sanganer police station on July 23. SHO Anil Jaiman, who is investigating the case further, said that the girl came in contact with Yash Dayal through professional contacts. She introduced herself as a cricketer and came in contact with the pacer. She further alleged that Dayal promised to help her in her professional growth in exchange of sexual favours.

Yash Dayal’s lawyer, Kunal Jaiman, has argued Dayal’s side of the story. He said that another case was reported from Ghaziabad by a different complainant and the Allahabad High Court decided to put a stay order on police proceedings. he further said that the parties from Ghaziabad and Jaipur were in collision and they are blackmailing the pacer by now filing the cases simultaneously against him.

Yash Dayal's Career So Far

Talking about Yash Dayal’s career so far, he started his IPL journey with the Gujarat Titans in 2022 and then switched to RCB in IPL 2024. The left-arm pacer too 13 wickets in RCB’s victorious IPL campaign earlier this year. He is yet to play for India across formats.
